Custom PE Packaging FAQ

Flexon Pack manufactures custom ziplock bags, zipper and slider bags, self-adhesive bags, flat poly bags, liners, PE tubing and packaging film. Each order is produced to an approved specification covering material, dimensions, thickness, closure, printing and packing.

Standard options include virgin LDPE, LLDPE and HDPE. CPE, recycled-content PE, anti-static formulations, colored film and other project-specific materials are available for suitable constructions. Material selection is based on the required flexibility, stiffness, clarity, strength, sealing behavior and intended market.

Typical bag widths range from 30 to 750 mm, with single-layer film thicknesses from 30 to 150 microns. Gravure printing supports up to eight colors for suitable designs. The approved specification records the applicable dimensions, gauge, tolerance, artwork and print requirements.

MOQ is calculated from the dimensions, thickness, resin, closure, printing colors and packing method. Existing samples are available for initial evaluation when suitable, and custom prototypes can be arranged when required. Sample quantity is separate from the mass-production MOQ.

Most custom orders require approximately 20–30 days for production after the specification, artwork, sample requirements and commercial terms are approved. The quotation states the production schedule for the selected material, printing, construction and quantity. International shipping time is quoted separately.

Food-contact options are available when the selected resin, additives, colorants, printing inks and finished construction suit the intended food and conditions of use. Buyers can request the available SGS analytical report against FDA 21 CFR 177.1520, matched to the proposed material and product specification.

Available documents include applicable material declarations, SGS food-contact testing, PFAS screening, REACH documentation, CTI RoHS testing, and ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 management-system certificates. Requested documents are matched to the material, tested sample, production entity and finished specification during order review.

Production controls cover the applicable incoming-material identification, dimensions, single-layer film gauge, appearance, printing, closure or adhesive construction, seals and packing. Approved specifications, production records and inspection results support consistency and traceability between orders.

Yes. Cartons, inner bags, pallets and moisture-protection options can be configured for export orders. Freight method, shipping cost, delivery time, customs documents and trade terms are confirmed in the formal quotation for the selected destination.

Selection starts with the packed product, dimensions, unit weight, opening frequency, packing process, transport conditions and target appearance. Ziplock bags suit compact press-to-close storage; zipper or slider bags support larger and frequent-access packaging; self-adhesive bags use a fold-over adhesive flap; flat bags provide a simple open-top or heat-sealable enclosure; and PE film is supplied for wrapping, tubing or downstream conversion.

Standard PE packaging should not automatically be used as sterile, leak-proof, vacuum-rated, retort, oven-safe, child-resistant, tamper-evident, dangerous-goods or electrostatic-shielding packaging. These applications require a specialist construction, defined test method and acceptance criteria. Buyers should provide the applicable regulation or performance standard before sampling and quotation.
